What We Did

When Entropy first began its mission back in 2013, we committed to a laser-focused ‘mobile-first’ mindset for all our clients and partners.

Whether clients like Dictionary.com or Oxford University Press deployed us to build and manage their massive dictionary Web sites, or we were commissioned to create exclusive tools for the likes of Microsoft or The Financial Times, we have always retained a constant obsession with mobile.

Put simply, Mobile Apps and experiences are deeply ingrained in our DNA.

From Mobile App deployments for the likes of Global Radio, the NHS, and The Art Fund, to our mobile prototype programme for Mediacom, our goal has always been to provide gorgeous and revolutionary mobile experiences to our customers.

In 2018, Mediacom approached Entropy to help realise a series of new mobile concepts for their key clients. For client Mars/Wrigley, a new method of ‘impulse shopping’ was needed in a world rapidly moving to grocery pickup and delivery. Through a series of fully functioning iPhone and iPad app prototype deployments, Entropy provided the crucial proof-of-concept to help Mars/Wrigley and their partners (Walmart in the U.S. and Carrefour in Poland), begin the process of retrofitting their flagship grocery apps to include an impulse initiative.

In 2019, the collaboration grew to include a critical Pilot Programme for Walmart in the U.S. – utilising Entropy-developed iPad Apps to test and validate a grocery pickup ‘impulse purchase scenario’ used with live customers at real Walmart locations.

Continuing our partnership with Mediacom in 2020, we look forward to not only reproducing our success in creating complex Mobile App prototypes and solutions for Mediacom’s clients, but helping in mobile visioning and product ideation for a new era of mobile experiences.
